Enhancing how you collect information in documents or contracts is key to creating a seamless customer experience. Whether you're gathering phone numbers, social security numbers, or other data that needs to be sent to a third-party system, ensuring the information is entered in the correct format is crucial. With our new Regular Expressions and Character Conditions, you can effortlessly ensure data accuracy while streamlining your workflows.
Automation that works
In complex after-sales processes—such as scheduling installations or deliveries after a customer's signature—it’s critical that the data collected is accurate. Third-party systems often require information to be submitted in a specific format. If a customer enters data incorrectly, it could disrupt the entire automation chain, leading to delays and inefficiencies.
What are regular expressions?
Our latest release introduces regular expressions, giving you precise control over how input data is formatted. With this feature, you can specify exactly how many characters, numbers, punctuation marks, or symbols a field must include.
Common Use Cases:
- Utility companies requiring accurate energy or water meter numbers
- Customer or ID numbers with strict format guidelines
- Social security numbers formatted by country
- Phone numbers with country-specific requirements
- Banking information such as account or signatory numbers
Character conditions made simple
Character conditions allow you to define the length of an input field, such as setting a minimum of 5 characters and a maximum of 10. This feature is user-friendly and requires no technical skills—simply adjust the settings in the form options.
For example, if you need a phone number or social security number, you can require the input to be exactly 10 or 12 characters long, ensuring consistent and complete entries. This functionality is available at both the template and document levels.
Clearer forms for customers
These tools don’t just optimize internal workflows; they also enhance the customer experience. With regular expressions, you can provide clear instructions about the required format directly within the form, guiding recipients as they input their data. Character conditions display the expected number of characters, reducing confusion and ensuring compliance with your requirements.
This clarity builds confidence, making recipients feel secure as they complete your forms and ensuring the information provided is accurate.
